Ellesmere occurs as market town near Oswestry in Shropshire, England. These are placed per side of The Mere, a big natural flow of any stream inside England outside the Lake District and one of nine in the area. The local legend is that the apparitional white lady can be seen wandering about a mere. A mere contains an artifical island, constructed inside 1812 from a soil dug dead set produce the gardens at Ellesmere Home. A A495 and A528 cross at Ellesmere. the town lies in a branch of the Llangollen Canal, which eventually links it to Ellesmere Port, named fallowing a town. Originally a Ellesmere Canal, Thomas Telford was responsible for the overall counsel of the construction run, the design that took xii years, from either 1793 to 1805. Ellesmere's virtually all notable building is Ellesmere Old Town Hall, built in 1833. A poet Sir Francis Kynaston was born in the town. A writer Alf Strange is from a nearby hamlet of Welsh Frankton. the short way outside the Town is Ellesmere College, the public school founded around 1884 for the sons of the bourgeoisie & today a co-co-ed boarding school.
